Chuckle

I’ve read that it takes more muscles to frown than it does to smile.  So…smile more. Laugh when things go wrong, don’t cry.  Sometimes things just don’t go your way;  glasses break, tires go flat, buses get missed, milk gets spilled, tests get failed, and dinners burn on the stove.  What can you do about those things in the moment? Nothing.  They have already happened, so go ahead and chuckle, clean up the mess. Next time be early, or more careful, study better, and don’t get distracted when you cook.  Life is too short to stress over the mess.  Let it go.  There will be more glasses to drink out of, tires to drive on, buses to ride in, gallons of milk to drink, tests to take, and dinners to cook.  It’s people who matter, people that make us happy, and people that can’t be replaced.  So, stress less, chuckle more, and live longer.
